  • Ability to utilise and further develop your advanced mental health assessment and risk management skills
  • A role where your clinical judgement and expertise will directly influence client outcomes

About the Role:

As a Clinical Nurse, you will be responsible for supporting clients from their initial contact with the service through to ongoing care and referral pathways.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and clinical screenings
  • Participating in intake and triage processes for new referrals and presentations
  • Identifying, assessing and responding to clinical risks including suicide risk, self-harm, acute distress and complex psychosocial presentations
  • Providing immediate support and intervention for clients experiencing mental health crises
  • Supporting care coordination and referrals to internal and external services
  • Working collaboratively with psychologists, senior clinicians, GPs, psychiatrists and community providers
  • Contributing to multidisciplinary care planning and case discussions
  • Maintaining high quality clinical documentation and risk assessments
  • Supporting continuity of care through follow up and client engagement

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • Strong mental health assessment, triage and risk management skills
  • Experience managing complex and high acuity presentations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively within a multidisciplinary team

Highly Desirable

  • Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing
  • Experience in community mental health, crisis response, intake and triage, psychiatric liaison, acute care or urgent response settings
  • Experience supporting clients with complex mental health presentations and elevated risk profiles

If you are looking for an opportunity to apply your clinical expertise within a supportive and progressive mental health service, while making a meaningful difference in the lives of people experiencing mental health challenges, we encourage you to apply.
